About this month's lineup ...
Headliner - Hippieman
John Novosad, a.k.a. “Hippieman” is a stand-up comedian based out of the Comedy Works in Denver, Colorado. John has performed in clubs, theatres and weird little coffee houses across the country for almost three decades. Yes, there were some day jobs along the way.
Originally from Boulder, John made his network television debut on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson and has written a screenplay – Hippieman: The Movie and is currently working on a comedy pilot. In the future John will continue to perform and develop Hippieman’s Plan for America – comedic solutions to our nation’s problems. And be happy.
Feature - Stacy Roquemore
Stacy Roquemore is a comedian, actor and writer. He's been performing stand-up for six years, getting his start at the Improv in southern Florida, and now performing locally at such venues as Comedy Works and the Denver Improv. Stacy was a finalist in the Funniest Comic in Palm Beach, and was a featured comic at the Laugh Track Comedy Festival 2010. Stacy's stand-up is inspired by true stories from his life, where he never fails to find the hilarity in any situation.
Guest - Rick DeSimone
Rick DeSimone, a Colorado native, has been performing his unique style of stand-up in the Denver area for more than five years. He engages crowds with candid, witty material delivered with vulnerability and a strong sense of irreverence. Ranging from warmly relatable to outlandish and absurd, his wordplay-heavy material is drawn from years of drinking, unstable relationships, legal troubles, and general buffoonery. In addition to running Kinga's, one of Denver's best open mics, Rick is a huge supporter of the Denver comedy scene, and has performed at many of the city's best shows and venues, including Comedy Works, the Denver Improv, Too Much Fun, and The Grawlix.
Host - Terri Barton Gregg
Terri Barton Gregg AKA "The Hebrew Hairdresser" is a Denver Native. Her busy Stand Up Comedy career includes producing, promoting and booking entertainment. TBG and Unified Front Entertainment has joined forces with Andrew Feinstein and are proud to bring Stand Up Comedy to Jake's Food & Spirits. Gregg 's smooth comic stylings can be seen at the Comedy Works, the Denver Improv, Loonies and a sundry of other venues around the U.S. Her productions include: Stoned Cold Comedy, Let's Plotz, Christmas with the Jews, Comedy Uncorked, Bangkok Comedy, Dog Gone It and Being a Mother is a Mother to name a few. A portion of the proceeds for all of Terri's performances are designated for philanthropic donations.
